Spread the Word

Friends,

Rikki Maihos, who many of us know and love, passed away last week. We're calling off bike polo this Thursday (10/30), and instead we'll be doing a memorial ride in his honor. Please help spread the word.

Meet at the old spot (the DMV parking lot on claremont) at 8 PM. Bring your memories of Rik, a candle, musical instrument, firewood, food and drink to share. The ride will leave at 9.

Please come even if you didn't know Rik. If you ever came thru bike polo in oaktown you are connected to him and your friends who know him will appreciate your presence and support.

Girls

can drive you crazy, especially if you're Q-tip traveling all over the world.

But, if you're Calvin Harris you're chillin'.

Tattoo...

I am getting another one tomorrow. I am beyond excited. Matt Decker at Premium is super cool.

To submit work please include:

3.Phone number

4.A brief description of the work you are submitting

5.If possible, include a digital image your work

***Email applications to nico at: ndery@cca.edu. Include personal info and descriptions in the body of the email and attach any images.
***

You will receive a follow-up email shortly after submitting your application with details about the show including drop off date, reception information, etc.

My friend Max Brownstein is on a tour of Asia for a year. Pretty amazing, he got his wisdom teeth removed there, which is completely nuts.

Motion

Barry

Sketchypad posted this sweet video featuring Barry Mcgee and a cameo by Mikey Guidetti

Thank You.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Hut last night and all that wished me a Happy Birthday throughout this week. It has been an awesome birthday weekend. So, I just woke up about a half hour ago and the feeling has come over me that I need to really organize my life, responsibility seems to be the key word here. Flipping through some old sketch books I came across a photo of my grandfather and one of my aunts. Completely forgetting that I had this photo it seems to be some sort of marker or sign that things are going to be okay. While at the same time I notice that all my old writings in my sketch books are a kind of self loathing or whoa is me content. Change is due and progression is in the air for me.

More

Project

This is great. It's great to see people providing encouragement to be creative. I was lucky to get the encouragement I got when I was in High School. I found this on Wooster.

New

New York

I went to New York Last Month. I had a good time, but the only photos I took were with a cheap camera from Walgreens. So, I finally scanned the ones I liked in. Note how I ruined some of these by putting my stupid finger in front of the lens. That always happens to me, I have stupid giant hands apparently.

What I've been doing

Well, it all began with a hay fight in front of the Hut. Bryant and Kate seen below laughing hysterically. Thanks to Johnathan who provided these wonderful hay fight photos.

Meanwhile Jason B is trying to reenact the Wizard of Oz.

Friday we celebrated my birthday/Steve Smiths artwork at Manifesto. Thanks again Sam and Mackay. Note the Country Club below, thanks Amy.

My actual Birthday is on Tuesday, October Seventh. I have no idea what I'm doing I might just go over to the Hut. Any other ideas are welcomed with open arms. Possibly something not involving drinking. Especially, if it doesn't involve drinking.

Lance

I'm sure it's happened to most fixed and non-fixed riders when you've got a good speed going and some dude yells "nice bike Lance Armstrong!" or "Hey Lance!". Well, in this case it's true.

MASH SF x Lance Armstrong in Austin

Things

have been kind of strange lately and it's not necessarily a bad thing. Shift is the key word and I am trying to put this in a positive light this time. Anyway, this band has gotten me through hope you dig.
