Respect...

Yesterday I recieved a phone call while on my bike in Oakland. It was my best friend Lizandro Machado and he had sad news. Lizandros' father,Hector Francisco Machado, passed away on Christmas. I just wanted to post this and say Lizandros Dad was a really cool guy. He always welcomed me in his home and always had something funny to say. My love and condolences go out to his family. If anyone has any photos they would like me to post I would love to do a photo post to honor him.

And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you

"And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you
Just what I want to do
I'm not the kind that needs to tell you
Just what you want me to" New Order - Age of Consent

I don't think they ever made a real video for this song.I did find a pretty good one someone made after the fact.I complain a lot, I am aware of this. But, lately things have been going down the shitter. I don't make as much art as I want to and I barely have time to sit. I need more quiet time. A good friend Nicole Sasaki has helped me quite a bit in the last month. I think I would have lost it without her. Ashley,my girlfriend, has helped me tremendously as well, over the course of two and a half years Ashley has always entertained me and kept me excited about living. Anthony Skirvin as well, I feel extremely lucky to be able to work with him and all of the people at Ape Do Good.Jen Balch,Brian Schuck and Kelly Ball thanks for being cool. So, I guess this has been an expulsion of things I have been dealing with in the year 2007. Now we enter 2008 and hopefully things will improve.

Everyday...

Morrissey

Colin Meloy

I'm probably going to get made fun of for posting this because it's a bit typical and emo of me to post these. Lately, my days feel like this and yes I know it's lame to say so as well as very emo, but I can't help it. It's a good song.

Work...

I had this crazy panic situation yesterday where I felt like I really don't want to work at either job I am at right now. Which is true but, I haven't found anything better that can actually hire me. My friend Donald came into one of my jobs and I spewed all m worries on him and he said "To be honest, it's taken me 35 year to figure out what I'm doing." It's true, I forget I have the rest of my life o figure whats gonna happen. Meanwhile, I'm gonna keep making art and blogging it up for you. Also, my work is still up at Zzas @ 550 Grand in Oakland if you wanna buy anything.

Ariel Roman(left) and Kelly Ball(right)

I really like these people, besides my girlfriend Ashley they are my favorite. Ariel just got nominated to be apart of the Alameda Arts Commission, which is super awesome. Kelly Ball is an intern at Southern Exposure and is bound for greatness.

Fotos...

These are from an LA trip I took a while ago, before Ashley and I went. My friend Ernest took some of these and so did I. We had a great night driving around Downtown and going to random graff shows chasing my friend Ivee. I recall the night ended with a 7-11 trip and some wierd hooker trying to pick up on some random dudes. The camera we used was this insane Nickelodeon 1990s four lens plastic camera. Here is a link to more fotos.

Catching Up...

Here are some new drawings. Its been a minute because I have been working almost everyday. I feel my health declining and I really need a grande vegetable enema. Ha! That sounds nasty but its true, I seriously need a dose of healthy. I tried to microwave a two dollar and fifty cent spinach souffle at work but it turned out that our microwave sucks. Spinach souffle turned into spinach soup nastiness. So, the lesson for today is don't microwave anything frozen in a crappy microwave.

Lulurae...

I work at a chocolate place called Lulurae and its pretty cool most of the time. Yesterday was semi-bogus, nicole and I worked very hard and recieved no tips. When did the moto for the United States become "We only tip when we feel like it." Its a bloody common courtesy to tip and please do it well. Anyway, here is a couple of fotos from Los Angeles and soon I will put up some scanned drawings I just need a day off. I have almost officially worked straight through the weekend. God Bless America! love, Paul

This is it!

Peep this, I just realized this is in Oakland. Johnatron and Bearbaby at the UPTOWN. SO BE THERE OR DIE A FIERY DEATH. IM GONNA DO IT TO IT, SO SHOULD YOU!

Los Angeles I'm Not Yours

Thanksgiving with the family is always interesting. It hasn't been quite the same since I became a semi-adult.
